Akel Homes Sponsors Networking Event for Professional Women in Building Council at Villamar at Toscana Isles

Akel Homes hosted a networking event and community tour of Villamar at Toscana Isles alongside the Professional Women in Building Council (PWB), an organization whose primary goal is to support the voice of women in the building industry. Akel Homes, a boutique, semi-custom homebuilder based in South Florida, enters the final stages of building Villamar at Toscana Isles, a single-family home development centrally located in Palm Beach County.
The Professional Women in Building Council, an affiliate of the Gold Coast Builder’s Association (GCBA), provides women with the opportunity to network with other professionals as well as seek opportunities for developing professionally in an industry where their presence is very much needed. The Gold Coast Builder’s Association is a dedicated South Florida builders association with a reputation of excelling in Palm Beach Governmental affairs. Women within the council have access to professional development resources, a large network of residential construction industry professionals, as well as various platforms for them to enhance leadership skills to gain a competitive edge and ensure that they shine amongst the crowd.
At the event, the Akel Homes’ ladies and newly joined members of the Professional Women in Building Council, including Teresa Tigert, Director of Purchasing and Jessica Spies, Field Coordinator, assisted in organizing this successful event. Guests were able to network with other professionals within the industry, indulge in appetizers and alcoholic beverages, as well as tour the newly completed property consisting of model homes and their beautiful, resort-style, clubhouse.
Lisbeth Linert (Clive Daniel Home, LLC), the Chair of the Professional Women in Building Council, announced upcoming events for members and guests to partake in, created with the intention for members to continue advocating for women’s’ place within this industry and their ability to contribute to its growth in innovative ways.
