Aurora Awards Presents Grand Awards to Akel Homes for Outstanding Achievement

Akel Homes, a private, boutique, semi-custom homebuilder based in South Florida, receives eleven silver and two grand Aurora Awards for their single-family development, Villamar at Toscana Isles, centrally located in Palm Beach County.
The Aurora Awards program presents Akel Homes with the grand award for their Residential Community of the Year, featuring their single-family development Villamar at Toscana Isles, as well as Best Long Format Video – Over 60 Seconds, featuring their This Is a Home campaign. Additionally, Akel Homes receives eleven silver awards for their innovative use of technology, community site plan, interior design of their model homes, as well as various floorplan designs.
On July 15th, 2021, Aurora Awards winners were announced in the 2021 Aurora Winner’s Book. The Aurora Awards program is widely recognized within the industry by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). It encompasses all aspects of the residential, commercial, and remodeling industries by providing those outstanding builders, planners, architects, developers, designers, and interior vendors, with the opportunity to gain recognition for their outstanding performance within the industry.
Akel Homes wins Residential Community of the Year for their single-family development, Villamar at Toscana Isles, which offers an expansive floorplan selection as well as various structural options. The design of the Rio Grand floorplan was a result of customers communicating a desire for additional backyard space within a one-story floorplan. Additionally, the option to convert two bedrooms into a secondary master suite was a result of the large influx of multi-generational families to the community. Lastly, Villamar at Toscana Isles consists of 208 homes and features an amenity rich clubhouse, that was built at the beginning stages of the community, which includes a state-of-the art fitness center, resort style pool, lounge area, multipurpose sports court, and tennis court, uncommon for the size and stage of the community. However, these strategic moves provided them with the opportunity to appeal to more buyers.
Akel Homes wins The Best Long Format Video – Over 60 Seconds for their This is a Home campaign. This campaign showcases their level and attention to detail in designing each unique floorplan. Additionally, it highlights features that play a vital role within their buyers’ lifestyles. A few features and design details touched upon within the video include natural gas appliances, oversized chef inspired kitchens, impact rated windows and doors on both the first and second floors, as well as smart home features.
