Habitat For Humanity’s 2019 CEO BUILD

Habitat for Humanity’s 2019 CEO Build Brings Akel Homes Together with Other Area Leaders to Make a Difference in the Life of a Local Hard-Working Family

Akel Homes President Alex Akel proudly participated in the 2019 CEO Build, hosted by Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County, on October 18.

Habitat for Humanity emphasizes that this vital event “celebrates and harnesses the unstoppable power of corporate leaders who come together to help transform their community.” They accomplish this by helping and building alongside local, hard-working, low-income families to provide them with a hand up, not a hand-out.

“It was an unforgettable honor to participate in this year’s Habitat for Humanity CEO Build and to work side-by-side with a family to help provide them with a safe, decent and affordable place to call home,” said Alex Akel, President of Akel Homes. “Akel Homes looks forward to remaining actively involved in this important cause.”

Each “CEO Builder” had the opportunity to devote part of one day to participating directly in the construction process. To make the CEO Build effort possible, business leaders are asked to each contribute or raise a set dollar amount that goes to support the 2019 CEO build home and Habitat’s overall mission in our community.

Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization working in local communities across all 50 states in the U.S. and in approximately 70 countries. Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
